The protagonist is extremely powerful, intelligent, greedy for money, eager for profit, and fond of beautiful women – a type of person very common in the real world. For those who prefer protagonists focused solely on cultivation, or system stories that demand such arduous effort, I'm afraid I cannot write that. I dedicate my time to devising the intellectual battles between the protagonist and some prominent supporting characters. I hope you enjoy reading the story. If you find any shortcomings, please comment, and I will explain clearly or correct the errors.
The God Realm
Ten streaks of light shot into the Void Passage and vanished at the entrance. Immediately, ten figures appeared there as well. One figure, clad in armor, attempted to rush in but was stopped.
A person in white robes said, "War God, do not act rashly. If you enter that passage, you will lose everything."
The ten figures glowed, suspended in the void, drifting amidst the incredibly beautiful surrounding scenery. However, a colossal, rotating gate stood out like a blazing fire in the dead of night. That place was the forbidden zone of the God Realm.
The figure who had just intervened also spoke, "The Wisdom God is right. Rushing in will do no good. Calm down a little."
The War God's expression was extremely grim. He waved his hand, pointing directly at the one who stopped him, and roared, "How can you tell me to calm down? My Slaying God Sword has run off!"
Then the War God pointed directly at the Wisdom God and cursed, "It's all your fault! If it weren't for you, how could they have run off? The so-called 'smartest in the God Realm,' 'unrivaled wisdom' – it's all dog farts!"
The Wisdom God retorted, "How can you blame me for this? If someone hadn't been careless, how could such a thing have happened? Besides, didn't everyone agree?"
War God: "When did I agree? It was only you scoundrels! Have you forgotten how the Ten Great God Kings came to be? Now look what's happened! We've lost them, our strength has greatly diminished, and we've become a laughingstock for all under heaven. The Ten Great God Kings can't even hold onto their own weapons – truly, they are the Ten Great Clowns!"
With that, he flicked his sleeve and departed, leaving the remaining nine with grim and unsightly expressions, especially the Wisdom God. His refined, scholarly face twisted into an ugly grimace. Truth be told, he was the one who suffered the greatest loss, his power diminished the most. After a moment's thought, he sighed and said, "Since things have come to this, everyone, please calm down and stabilize the God Realm. I'll take my leave first."
The expressions of the remaining eight were also far from good. Some showed sorrow, regret, pain, anger, or confusion. One person opened their mouth: "I'll go first." After that, the remaining few also vanished, each appearing helpless. Because once one entered the Void Passage, even a divine being would have their Godhead shattered, their power vanish, and their body turn mortal, entering the cycle of reincarnation. Even their souls would dissipate. Treasures were no different; divine artifacts entering the Void Passage would turn into scrap metal.
That was why, when the gods saw the treasures enter the passage, they no longer pursued them. The forbidden zone of the God Realm never had exceptions. Even all the gods combined could not change it in the slightest.
However, they forgot that just because they couldn't do it didn't mean no one else could. Especially when they could turn ordinary people into God Kings, capable of supporting the invincible God Realm.
At this moment, inside the Void Passage, a golden sphere was being eroded, its ten specks of light extinguishing one by one. When the eighth speck of light went out, the golden sphere shot out of the Void Passage, hurtling rapidly through the vast universe.
What was impossible in the God Realm had become reality. Two streams of aura emanated, making the surrounding air feel thick and viscous, and the space crackled eerily.
A triumphant laugh rang out. If the God of Wisdom had heard it, he would surely have been utterly astonished, for it was the voice of the Heavenly Book's spirit. The laughter ceased after a moment, but immediately afterward, a voice, brimming with unconcealed triumph and joy, resounded. "It should have been annihilated in the Void Passage, so why is it still laughing, hahaha, over there?"
Heavenly Book: "God of Wisdom, you've been enlightened for too long, have you forgotten who taught you everything? Do you dare scheme against me? Are you old enough? Hahahaha. How could you have imagined I had a way to cross the Void Passage?" Then followed another long burst of laughter, suddenly cut short by a voice.
He retracted his aura, and the entire space then calmed down, returning to its original state.
Slaughter God Sword: "Big Brother Heavenly Book, Sixth Brother unexpectedly used up all his energy. How can we find that person now?" His voice, though sharp and cold, could barely conceal his worry: "Surely we don't have to wait for Sixth Brother to recover? That would take at least 100,000 years!"
He was indeed extremely worried about his own future, afraid that he would be wandering the universe for another 100,000 years. If that were truly the case, it would be utterly dreadful. He hoped it wouldn't happen, wishing for a reasonable answer from the Heavenly Book.
Heavenly Book: "Don't worry, I've already made my calculations. Sixth Brother has already set the formation to head straight for the 'Desired Master'." After that, silence enveloped them as the formation continued to hurtle forward, many times faster than light. The pressure vanished, and space returned to normal as if nothing had ever happened.
The formation continuously drifted towards the place where their Desired Master awaited, but who would have thought it would take a very long time to reach its destination?
Over 1000 years later, on Earth, in Ho Chi Minh City, inside a luxurious villa, a young man in his early twenties lay on a mattress, playing with his phone. This person, named Băng Thần, was originally an orphan living an ordinary life, but an incident occurred that changed his entire destiny.
The incident happened five years ago. One evening, he took his new girlfriend, whom he had successfully confessed to, out on a date. To get the two movie tickets, he had saved up for a very long time. They went on her electric bicycle. He was incredibly excited; after four years of secretly loving her, he finally had the courage to confess.
What was important was that he had successfully outmaneuvered a bunch of other handsome, rich guys, making him unable to close his mouth in delight. Her sparkling eyes and incredibly beautiful face, though she was only in ninth grade, made it clear to anyone who wasn't blind just how stunning she would be in the future.
The streets of Saigon glowed brightly at night. After the movie, the two headed home; it was quite late. Băng Thần wished the road would stretch on forever so he could stay close to her. But her family was strict, so he reluctantly took her home. Wanting to go faster, he steered the electric bicycle through a deserted alley, but as they drew near, he saw two groups of people exchanging something.
A little closer, he saw the two sides exchanging two suitcases: one full of money, the other containing several bags of white powder. His brain exploded. What kind of business was this, exchanging a suitcase full of money for a suitcase of white powder in the dark? It was definitely an illegal transaction. He immediately turned his bike around to flee, but his bike's headlight had already caught their attention. The leader pulled out a gun and fired a shot. Then, seeing Băng Thần speed out of the alley, he yelled: "Someone saw us! Let's go, or the police will be here soon, and we won't be able to escape!"
Watching the bike speed onto the main road, the man snorted lightly, then quickly jumped into his vehicle and sped away, its engine roaring.
A group of his subordinates replied, "Yes, Big Brother." After that, they got on their motorbikes and rode off through another exit of the alley.
The others also left shortly after. The alley, which had over 30 people just moments ago, was now deserted as if nothing had ever happened there. Băng Thần sped his car to the other side of the road. Seeing no one was following, he stopped, intending to comfort Mai Hân, but she remained silent.
He assumed she was terrified from encountering the drug dealers; after all, an ordinary person might never encounter such a thing in their entire life. He inwardly cursed the audacious scoundrels from earlier, then tried to think of words to comfort Mai Hân.
Turning to look at her, he saw her face was deathly pale and her body was leaning forward. He quickly embraced her, feeling his hands become damp. He raised his hand to look and saw it was covered in a lot of blood.
Passersby had noticed, and someone had already taken out their phone to call the police and ambulance. Mai Hân looked up at him and whispered, "Take the pair of rings out of my coat pocket." Băng Thần, tears streaming down his face, did as she asked. Sure enough, there was a pair of rings in her pocket. The rings were quite beautiful, with two clearly engraved letters, T and H, one small and perfectly nestled over the other.
Mai Hân said, "I prepared these five years ago. You're so foolish. I love you." After that, she took her last breath. The police arrived and asked him many questions. After he finished speaking, Mai Hân's family arrived. He was bracing himself for a torrent of accusations, but Mai Hân's parents not only didn't blame him but comforted him, which only made his guilt surge even more.
The road was wide open, why did they have to go to that place for just a few minutes? Why did they have to go out today? If it hadn't been like that, she wouldn't have left him, departing this life just as it was beginning.
What was he living for now? Then his eyes turned icy cold. "Yes, I will have my revenge. You all deserve to die." Those people didn't know that death had already marked them, just waiting for the time of harvest. He lingered at Mai Hân's funeral until he saw her buried in the earth, then he disappeared.
Three years after he disappeared, all the drug traffickers involved that day died, literally dismembered into eight pieces, and their families were buried alongside them. The severity of the case baffled the police. Two years later, deposits were made into Mai Hân's family's account and an orphanage's account.
