**************
Nam Thien Quốc, a distant land at the southernmost edge of the world, is a realm of profound mystery and power, having endured through countless ages. It is a land that has given rise to many legends of the great heroes of the immortal cultivation world.
Today, the sky above Nam Thien Quốc was suddenly graced by a strange, faint golden light, stretching persistently across the heavens and growing increasingly intense. Legend has it that whenever a peerless genius is born, the sky undergoes an unusual phenomenon. This strange light extended from Bắc Thành all the way to the Holy Capital, Cổ Loa, and showed a tendency to grow ever more powerful.
“Boom!”
A sudden clap of thunder exploded across the sky, shattering the tranquil space. The faint streak of light abruptly intensified, its golden hue growing denser. It seemed as though this powerful light had no intention of fading, and the entire sky became hazy.
No one knew how long it took for the anomaly to finally cease. All the residents of Cổ Thành became intensely agitated, and the Holy City was thrown into chaos. All the powerful experts of Nam Quốc unleashed a surge of potent aura, their divine senses spreading across the Holy City, hoping to locate the source of that intense light. But they were all disappointed; no one could find where the light had originated. For it had appeared mysteriously and vanished just as eerily. No one in the entire Holy City knew, but at this very moment, there was one place that understood exactly what was happening.
Triệu Thánh Tông, the foremost sect in Nam Quốc, was currently enveloped in an atmosphere of extreme urgency. The Sect Master of Triệu Thánh Tông, Triệu Vô Tùy, immediately ordered all elders to gather in the sect's grand hall.
The entire Zhao Faction's aura instantly became solemn and restrained. Though the reason for this summons hadn't been stated, the elders had basically understood what the problem was: it was none other than that strange light. Sect Master Zhao Wusui's aura was cold, his lifeless eyes sweeping across the main hall before he spoke:
"Everyone must already know about the appearance of that golden light, right? I don't need to say more; what does that represent? It means that our Southern Nation might see the emergence of a reincarnated genius."
"But this streak of light is not like usual!"
Zhao Wusui said indifferently. His words were vague and ambiguous, but the elders generally understood. It concerned an ancient legend of the Southern Heaven Nation's cultivation world, specifically, the predetermined hierarchy of Heaven-chosen geniuses. Historically, streaks of light appearing to signify reincarnated geniuses were always categorized by level.
Pale blue light represented a powerful cultivator at the fourth level of cultivation (1).
Dark blue represented a powerful cultivator at the fifth or sixth level (2).
Pale red light symbolized a powerful cultivator at the seventh level (3).
Dark red light symbolized a powerful cultivator at the eighth level (4).
Pale yellow light symbolized a powerful cultivator at the ninth level (5). As for a pale yellow light gradually transitioning to a deep golden color, that was essentially unprecedented.
Zhao Wusui had dispatched sect disciples to thoroughly investigate. Within four hundred *li* of Sacred City, no child had been born apart from his newborn infant. Furthermore, this streak of light originated from Gulao City itself, concentrating most intensely at Chunwu Peak of the Zhao Sheng Sect (6). Therefore, Zhao Wusui immediately concluded, presuming that powerful cultivator was his own infant, though he still harbored some uncertainty.
Taking a slow breath, Zhao Wusui continued:
"Therefore, the summoning of all you elders today is not without hidden reasons."
With that, Zhao Wusui waved his hand. Streams of silent divine sense were transmitted one after another into the elders' minds. A moment later, everyone understood the matter, slowly focusing their spiritual energy.
The Southern Nation and Northern Nation had a history of being incompatible, like water and fire. The cultivation forces were thus also in conflict. Up until now, there were two Northern Nation forces that Zhao Wusui most feared: Wudang Sect and Shaolin Buddhist Gate. He feared that his newborn infant might be in danger, so he did not hesitate to activate his spiritual sense to urge all sect elders to protect the newborn child. After all, this light phenomenon was no ordinary matter. He couldn't be sure that those two Northern Nation sects wouldn't play dirty tricks and assassinate his only child, merely because of those ancient legends that Zhao Wusui didn't put much faith in.
With his spiritual sense activated, a few moments later, Zhao Wusui waved his hand, signaling the remaining elders to leave. A flicker of determination appeared in his eyes. The elders bowed solemnly to Zhao Wusui, loudly affirming:
"We elders are utterly devoted, we swear to die rather than yield!!"
Having said that, the elders prostrated themselves, then uniformly retreated in an orderly and disciplined manner. The Zhao Sheng Sect had been established for a long time, possessing abundant prestige, and each of the elders exuded an extraordinary aura. All disciples of the Zhao Sheng Sect were arrogant, and thus earned a degree of respect from all other sects in the Southern Heaven cultivation world.
Any Zhao Sheng Sect disciple wandering the Southern Heaven cultivation world, as long as they could prove their affiliation with the Zhao Sheng Sect, no one dared to offend them. In fact, people would diligently flatter them to excess.
Just now, Triệu Vô Tùy had secretly transmitted a spiritual message, calling the two Black and White Elders to stay. Both of them held important positions as Deputy Sect Masters.
The Black-haired Elder and the White-haired Elder didn't understand why the Sect Master kept them behind, but they respectfully refrained from asking, knowing that Triệu Vô Tùy must have had a reason for doing so.
The two elders not only held the rank of elders but also served as Deputy Sect Masters. Therefore, they both had the right to participate in important matters of the Triệu Saint Sect. This time, Triệu Vô Tùy didn't want to speak in front of all the elders; this information was certainly extremely confidential.
“Surely, you both already know that the Northern Nation has two of the most powerful sects: the Shaolin Buddhist Sect and the Wudang Sect.”
The Black-haired and White-haired Elders looked puzzled but still respectfully said:
“That is correct!”
Seeing this, Triệu Vô Tùy spoke in a faint tone once more:
“But surely, you still don't know that those are not the most powerful forces threatening my Triệu Saint Sect from the Northern Nation.”
At this, both the Black and White Elders felt surprised.
In their subconscious, the Shaolin Buddhist Sect and Wudang Sect had, without a doubt, dominated the cultivation world of the Northern Nation for thousands of years. Therefore, Triệu Vô Tùy's words immediately left them bewildered:
“Please, Sect Master, elaborate!!”
Triệu Vô Tùy merely glanced at them indifferently:
“You wouldn't know about this because it's a secret, one that has only been passed down among successive Sect Masters. Now, I believe it's time I stopped keeping it from you two!”
Triệu Vô Tùy waved his hand, signaling the two Black and White Elders to sit down. He then immediately took his seat at the head of the table, casually picked up a teacup, brought it to his lips, took a leisurely sip, and only then slowly spoke.
(This is a level where one can emit internal energy, transforming it into powerful energy to kill opponents from hundreds of miles away, truly a high-level expert. Mid-stage Level Four practitioners can ride clouds and tread wind, flying thousands of miles. Essentially, this still falls under the category of qinggong (lightness skill), but it can be called 'extraordinary qinggong' because it's almost peak qinggong. The Triệu family's cultivation techniques, like most others, have various levels, but this is a high-level cultivation technique almost at the pinnacle of the Southern Nation's cultivation world, so everyone uses it as a standard measure of cultivation.)
(Level Five experts, fundamentally, possess extremely profound internal energy; the energy they emit can kill opponents from thousands of miles away. Even the natural aura of such an expert can cause ordinary people to burst their gallbladders and die just by coming into contact with it. They can fly tens of thousands of miles; this is no longer qinggong but true flight. While Level Four experts need to circulate their internal energy to fly, Level Five experts can instantly glide through clouds and tread wind just by thinking about it. As for Level Six experts, there's no need to elaborate; they are incredibly powerful. Their true strength is no longer internal energy but fundamentally borrowing the immeasurable power of space. They can fly billions of miles in an instant, summoning wind and rain.)
(Experts at this level have a pure and powerful inner body; their strength transforms into immortal essence power. Their bodies are incredibly tough, capable of moving mountains and filling seas, and even creating worlds. Entry-level Level Seven is called a 'Celestial Being' (Tiên Nhân), mid-level Level Seven is a 'Celestial King' (Tiên Vương), high-level Level Seven is an 'Imperial Celestial Emperor' (Tiên Đế), and peak-level Level Seven is 'Saint-level', the rank of the Jade Emperor (Ngọc Hoàng Đại Đế).)
Experts of this caliber are known as Grand Ultimate Venerates; those who possess such cultivation can even create a world.
Legendary-level powerhouses govern the Three Realms and wield a wisp of primordial chaos.
The Chunwu Cauldron, the Zhaosheng Sect's sect-guarding artifact, gathers extremely potent immortal essence. It was left behind from Zhao An's era, serving as Zhao An's super weapon, capable of creating a world.
