The gentle glow was like a mother's hand, softly sheltering the small clouds. Though the sky was illusory, it evoked a strange, stirring sensation. Far off within that glow, the silhouette of a palace loomed, both illusory and real.
A figure stood amidst the clouds, silently gazing into the endless horizon, his gaze fixed on something unknown.
With long blue hair cascading all the way to his heels, one might have mistaken him for a woman from behind if not for his tall, broad-shouldered build. He wore a magnificent blue robe that seemed to ripple with faint water waves. Anyone who stared too closely would instantly be captivated by that blue, as if their very soul were being drawn into the depths of an endless, deep blue ocean.
He appeared to be around twenty years old, with a handsome face and exceptionally deep eyes. At a glance, his gaze seemed empty and vacant, yet it encompassed everything; a single flash of purple light within them was enough to stir the soul.
“Sigh...”
He let out a soft sigh, a trace of sorrow flickering across his brow. He closed his eyes, as though he had just comprehended some profound truth of heaven and earth.
“San-ge.”
A gentle voice called out. Another figure appeared in the sky, slowly walking toward the blue-robed youth. She gently took his arm, her movement so natural it seemed as though she had done it countless times before.
The newcomer was a young woman in a pastel pink gown. Her hair was neatly styled, and even a side profile revealed her fair, slender, and beautiful neck. The gown clung tightly to her body, outlining a flawless silhouette.
Smiling, she held the blue-robed youth's arm and gently rested her head on his shoulder. Her ponytail swayed with her movement, brushing against his blue hair and quietly intertwining with it.
A helpless yet tender smile appeared on the handsome face of the blue-robed youth as he said:
“You're already a mother, yet you're still so mischievous!”
Hearing this, the pink-gowned woman pouted slightly in mock displeasure and replied:
“What if I'm a mother? Can't I act spoiled anymore? Even if you are now the Divine Realm's Law Enforcer or the Sea God, you are still Tang San, my San-ge.”
Tang San pulled the pink-gowned woman into his embrace and smiled, saying:
“Of course you can. No matter what, you will always be Xiao Wu, my most beloved. Just don't let our precious daughter see you, or else the two of you will start squabbling again.”
Hearing Tang San mention their daughter, Xiao Wu smiled softly, her face filled with tenderness:
“That little girl Xiao Qi just loves to cling to you. I had to take advantage of her nap to steal some private time with you. San-ge, I saw you looking unhappy just now. Is it because of the Douluo Continent again?”
Tang San nodded slightly and sighed:
“A day in the Divine Realm is a year in the mortal world. This is true for any plane. Originally, I intended to stay on the Douluo Continent for a while, but because of the wager between the God of Kindness and the God of Evil, I had no choice but to return to the Divine Realm to oversee things. To think that while only twenty-odd years have passed in the Divine Realm, ten thousand years have already gone by on the Douluo Continent. The Tang Sect of old has long since fallen into decline.”
Hearing this, Xiao Wu said indignantly:
“Those two, the God of Kindness and the God of Evil, are far too cunning. They used their wager as an excuse to sneak down to the lower realm to play. It’s incredibly irresponsible of them. If they were here to oversee everything, you would have a much easier time.”
Tang San said:
"The positions of God King and Law Enforcer of the Divine Realm may seem lofty, but they carry immense responsibilities, which is why no one is willing to take them on! The Douluo Continent has undergone ten thousand years of change, and it seems to have fallen into some disorder. Especially four thousand years ago, tectonic shifts caused the continents to collide, more than doubling the size of the Douluo Continent, which in turn brought about many troubles."
Xiao Wu said, "So that is why the Tang Sect declined! San-ge, don't overthink it. Actually, looking at it from another perspective, the decline of the Tang Sect is simply a natural result of the progression of time and the evolution of the Plane."
Tang San nodded slightly and continued, "You are right, but after all, I founded the Tang Sect with my own hands, and I truly cannot bear to watch it vanish. However, as the Law Enforcer of the Divine Realm, I can no longer interfere with the changes of the Plane. That said, a rising star seems to have recently appeared on the Douluo Continent, one closely tied to the fate of the Tang Sect. I tried to peer into his future destiny, but it is shrouded in dense layers of mist. I only hope everything develops for the better."
Hearing this, Xiao Wu's eyes instantly lit up, and she said, "If even you think highly of this rising star, then he must be the chosen one. If he can inherit your divine seat in the future, we will have plenty of time to travel everywhere."
Tang San smiled and pinched her nose. "You! All you think about is playing all day long."
While the two were talking, a tiny head poked out from a cloud not far away. She looked to be only about one or two years old, her large, beautiful eyes blinking softly. Her appearance was at least seventy percent similar to Tang San's, yet her soft features, gentle demeanor, and beautiful eyes were the spitting image of Xiao Wu's.
"Listening to Mom and Dad talk about the Douluo Continent sounds like so much fun! Hehe."
As soon as she finished speaking, the cute little figure quietly vanished.
