– In the Capital City of the JinJa Kingdom –
A world-shattering battle was underway, the first of its kind to threaten such destructive damage, stirring up storms and waves that claimed countless civilian lives.
King Willims of the JinJa Kingdom was battling the leader of the Magic Faction, Lainster. Lainster possessed terrifying power, so immense that the kingdom's officials were powerless against him, forcing the King to step forward himself.
King Willims and Lainster were fighting a fairly evenly matched battle when suddenly, the rain stopped and the sky brightened. (Willims' weapon was a sword of light, whose power increased when illuminated by the sun.) Seeing this, he gripped his sword tightly and raised it high to absorb the sunlight, then flew back and struck Lainster with a single blow. “Even if I die, you won't find peace,” Lainster declared, then waved his hand, summoning a colossal whirlwind that destroyed half the capital city, sweeping away its inhabitants and all three of King Willims' children.
The King, in a panic, ordered his officials to pursue and rescue his children, but all of them were already wounded.
From a hidden corner, a cry rang out:
“Father, save me~~”
“Karim's voice!” King Willims cried out. The King then rushed to where his remaining child was trapped by a large boulder, swinging his sword to shatter it and free his son.
After the battle concluded, King Willims mobilized everyone to rebuild the capital, and he also trained his remaining son in his own combat skills.
– Ten Years Later –
King Willims was now over sixty, and his strength was no longer what it once was.
He summoned his eunuch to bring Prince Karim to him.
Karim knelt. “Your humble servant greets Your Majesty, Father.”
“Dispense with the formalities,” King Willims said.
“Thank you, Father,” Karim replied.
“I am old now, and my strength is not what it once was,” the King said. “Therefore, I wish for you to embark on a journey to find your three siblings who were lost ten years ago.”
“I understand, Father,” Karim said, “but where should I begin? I don't even know if my siblings are alive or dead.”
“You needn't worry,” the King said. “I can sense their power. They are currently in kingdoms to the south, including: the Diamond Kingdom, Loter, and Pettin. When they were young, I gave them quartz bracelets, just like the one you're wearing, and I sealed them so they cannot be removed. When you approach them, your bracelet and theirs will glow.”
“Yes, I understand,” Karim said. “I will depart tomorrow.”
– The Next Morning –
“Karim, have you prepared all your belongings for your journey?” the King asked.
“Yes, Father, I have,” Karim replied.
“You will face many obstacles on your quest to find your siblings, so be careful. The Magic Faction may be laying traps, waiting for you to step into them.” the King said.
“Thank you for your concern, Father. I am off.” Karim replied.
– Elsewhere –
Leinster (the current leader of the Magic Faction, and the younger brother of Lainster, whom King Willims killed ten years ago)
“Figo, where are you?” Leinster said.
“Your subordinate is here, my lord,” Figo replied, bowing.
“Has that Karim departed yet?” Leinster asked.
“Yes, my lord, he has,” Figo said.
Leinster smirked and spoke.
“I've already set all the traps in the Loter Kingdom. You just need to go there and wait. When you receive the order, act immediately.” Leinster said.
“Understood, my lord,” Figo said, then withdrew.
“Merzin, I've just discovered a young girl in the southern part of the JinJa Kingdom who possesses a very special power. She could be useful for my experiments. Go there and bring her back to me.” Leinster said.
“Understood, my lord,” Merzin said.
Leinster slammed his hand on the table, his face filled with fury.
“Willims, you will pay!”
