Ly Tu Huyen is studying at the country's largest Military Academy. She is 1.72m tall, has a well-proportioned figure, a round face, big eyes, and a high nose, making her well-liked by many.
Although she would become a police officer in the future, she still possessed a dreamy heart like any girl in her twenties, enjoying romance movies and love stories.
Her family consisted of five members: her parents, an older sister, herself as the middle child, and a younger sister.
Her older sister was already married, and her parents and younger sister lived in their hometown, leaving only her to live in the bustling city.
After many days of hard part-time work, she had finally saved enough money to rent an apartment for herself.
Today was her day off, and Ly Tu Huyen lay stretched out on the sofa, reading the romance novel she had just bought yesterday.
"This Ly Tieu So is truly a third wheel! What's she doing butting in on the main couple's romantic dinner? And on top of that, she keeps harming the female lead again and again. She deserves to be taught a lesson... Hmph..."
Ly Tu Huyen said.
Suddenly, she sat up, closed the novel, and said:
"No, this won't do. I need to go get some water to cool down. If I keep reading, I'll tear this book apart!"
Ly Tu Huyen placed the novel on the table, then went into the kitchen to get a glass of water. After taking a sip, she continued to grumble:
"This is so infuriating! That wicked Ly Tieu So! No, I have to keep reading to see what the female lead does to the supporting character!"
As soon as she finished speaking, Ly Tu Huyen, holding the glass of water, walked over, intending to pick up the novel and continue reading. But she tripped and fell, hitting her head on the edge of the table. One hand clutching the novel, the other clutching her head, she rolled onto the floor, unconscious.
Ly Tu Huyen frowned, slowly opening her eyes and looking around. The room was entirely white, filled with the strong smell of disinfectant; she could easily guess this was a hospital.
But who had brought her to the hospital?
It might have been Mrs. Nam, her neighbor. She often brought food for Ly Tu Huyen to share, so seeing that she didn't open the door or answer, she must have called security to open her apartment.
Ly Tu Huyen slowly sat up, a wave of pain shooting through her head. Just then, a person in a doctor's coat walked in from outside. Tall and slender, their face was almost entirely covered by a mask and glasses, but with short hair, she guessed it was a male doctor.
"Awake?" the doctor asked.
Ly Tu Huyen looked at the doctor and thought to herself, "What kind of way is that to talk to a patient? 'Awake?' Awake my foot!"
Ly Tu Huyen nodded in response, not looking at the doctor.
"If you're awake, then get out," the doctor said in a cold, disgusted tone.
Ly Tu Huyen's eyes widened as she looked at him. What kind of attitude was this?
"Hey, Doctor, what's with your attitude? You spent over a decade studying, so why are you acting like an uncultured person towards your patients?" Ly Tu Huyen asked.
"You... what kind of way are you talking today?" he asked, surprised.
Ly Tu Huyen struggled to stand up and said:
"I'm trying my best to speak politely to you, like a civilized person."
"You... it seems you're completely recovered, aren't you? If you're recovered, then get out and go home!" he said loudly.
"How are you talking to your younger sister?"
Another voice interjected. Approaching were a middle-aged man and woman.
"Dear, our son didn't mean to yell at Tieu So. Tieu So must have done something for him to speak so loudly," the woman said.
"Tieu So, did you anger your brother?" the middle-aged man asked.
"I didn't... wait a minute, what did you just call me? Tieu So? I'm Ly Tu Huyen, and he's not my brother," Ly Tu Huyen explained.
"Tieu So, what's wrong with you? How can you deny this family?" the middle-aged woman asked.
Unable to believe what she’d just heard, Lý Tử Huyên clutched her head and ran straight into the bathroom.
Looking at herself in the mirror, she saw a dusky complexion, a round face, big eyes, thick lips, and a small nose.
Her petite figure was only about 1.55m tall; her body wasn't overly plump, but she could still feel the excess fat.
Lý Tử Huyên now confirmed that this wasn't her, but Lý Tiểu Sở from the novel she was reading.
Lý Tử Huyên was beyond tears. It was true what they said: what you hate, you get. Why did she have to despise Lý Tiểu Sở so intensely, only to now transmigrate into Lý Tiểu Sở's body?
Looking at herself in the mirror, Lý Tử Huyên said:
"What happens next in this part? Hospitalized… that’s right, Lý Tiểu Sở deliberately fell to frame the female lead, then got hospitalized and met the doctor’s older brother… then the three male leads came to find Lý Tiểu Sở to settle scores—"
Halfway through her thought, Lý Tử Huyên’s face crumpled. Why did Lý Tiểu Sở have to go cause so much trouble, only for her to be the one bearing the consequences now?
"No, I have to escape, before they come looking for me—"
Lý Tử Huyên said this while grabbing clothes to change.
She stepped out of the bathroom and slowly walked closer to the three people sitting there.
"Tiểu Sở, sit down. I want to talk to you," the man said.
"If… if there’s anything, let’s talk about it later, please. Right now… right now I really have to go urgently—"
Lý Tử Huyên said this while grabbing Lý Tiểu Sở’s backpack, then ran straight out of the hospital.
